BearForEU – Campaign ahead of #EP2019

Two months before the European elections, we launched our “#BearForEU” campaign: the Jacques Delors Institutes in Paris and Berlin sent a 22cm big bear on a journey across Europe, passing from hand to hand. The bear illustrates how short the distances within the EU can be and how connected we all are. The playful campaign also highlights: Democracy is a process and it is worth staying tuned! The aim is to sensitise young Europeans to EU issues and to mobilise them with a view to the European Parliament elections in May 2019. The idea of the travelling bear comes from the film “The Fabulous World of Amélie”, in which a garden gnome travels the world and is photographed in front of sights in different countries.
